Good. Nice atmosphere. Hard to find but surprised it was packed and it was a weekday. Personally the food didnt taste authentic and seem more American. Friendly customer service.

The service was genuinely impeccable. We had Andrew as our server and he was flexible with our order and the food was amazing. I always get the Chicken Katsu and Takoyaki and it's always perfect. Andrew was on the music and it set the perfect mood and ambience for my date! Kenji's is special to me and definitely a top spot to hit up when you're in the area.

Such friendly service! They really make you feel glad you came in. The Ramen... DELICIOUS the broths were spiced in umami sauce and so good. The noodles were the perfect density, had a great bite. All the separate proteins in my dish were cooked perfectly from the 3 min half egg to the pork, the spice level is definitely HOT on my dish but you can request your level of heat. My grandson loved his BYO noodles and the tofu so much he cleaned the plates. Great spot to warm up on these brisk winter day or just to brighten any day. Will be back for more deliciously comforting noodles. Great ambiance although a little small inside we had minimal wait time before being seated.

The service was superb, food delish but location is being expanded so you felt crammed and rushed to eat! Was also charged more for chicken katsu when it mentions on menu it's only $5 but was charged $8 as a "side dish". Fries where fresh and super crispy Ramen was delish but fresh onions where meh

We stopped and had lunch, I had the Katsu Curry Fries, it was a huge serving of fries, covered in curry that had large chunks of potatoes and carrots in it. Then there were chopped pork katsu, and large dollops of raw minced garlic, I still feel and taste it lol. The whole thing was yummy, though so wet that we couldn't really take home the left overs to reheat, it would have just been mush. But otherwise, yummy, and it just made me want to try the pork katsu on its own because it was also really good. If you love garlic this is definitely the place for you. Service was great even though it was very busy, and the place was a great little cafe like restaurant.

Stoopid good ramen! I had the Kenji ramen signature dish with kimchi. Now, I hate, I hate kimchi. I hate kimchi like it killed my dog (it did not) hate kimchi. But the nuance of their ingredients balanced the kimchi flavor in a spectacular way. The noodles were fresh and well cooked, the ramen broth was spicy and well developed full of flavor. It's a small restaurant located next to a FedEx. There is however additional seating in a tent. Service was fast, polite and perfect . Two thumbs way up for this eatery

As you can see from my review history, I'm a long time fan of this place, but they've been going through some significant changes over the last 6 months or so that I'm still digesting. They're working hard to expand into a neighboring space, which (from what the staff has told me) will include a full bar and larger kitchen that will support gluten-free dishes. That expansion hasn't happened yet, but the only sign of the ongoing construction is their gorgeous mural on the longest wall in the dining room is covered. The most recent change is a menu update that removes the build-your-own ramen option. I've yet to dine-in since this change and have only seen the updates through online ordering. Some of the new bowls look interesting (the inclusion of cheese in one sounds like it could be very rich, but alas, I can't do dairy), and most, if not all, use the same broth we've all come to know and love. I've had the new Kenji's bowl as a to-go order twice now. It looks well-aligned to the previous Kenji's on the old build-your-own menu, with the same broth, green onion and Kimchi, but includes pork belly, nori (a small sheet of dried seaweed), narutomaki (a coin-sized slice of fish cake), tamago (egg), and miso. Corn and bean sprouts no longer appear in this dish, and the spiciness options are reduced to 3 - the spiciest of which is no longer an upcharge. The noodles are also different, slightly thinner. The other available bowls keep most of the beloved broths we all know and love (RIP tomato veggie), but similarly add a lot of ingredients. Their online order system currently allows you to specify which ingredients to omit from your bowl, but allows you to indicate ingredients it wouldn't have come with anyway, which can be really confusing. I alerted a few employees when I first ordered after the menu change went into effect, but the system hasn't been updated yet. Removing ingredients does not cause a price reduction. For my to-go orders, the proportion of broth to ingredients ratio has changed - I look back on old photos and the broth was near the top of the bowl, but today's orders leave ingredients above the surface of the broth. The new to-go packaging is also interesting, where previously you were given separate bowls for ingredients and broth then poured the broth into the ingredients, the new packaging is a single bowl that has a plastic tray inserted at the top, holding ingredients above the broth. Less packaging overall, but it does make mixing a bit more of a treacherous task when trying to move ingredients from tray to bowl, plus the bottom of the tray will be wet from the broth. With all these changes, there is a difference to the flavor profile. It's elevated, with a complexity that would typically require a lot of add-ons in the old build-your-own menu. It's more in line with what you'll find at other ramen places across the river. For some, Kenji's advantage was that you could get a simpler bowl that didn't follow what the rest were doing, but these added ingredients can be removed. Value is still baked in to these dishes - pricing is about the same as it was for the previous menu, and for the number of included ingredients, it's better than a build-your-own. However, if you are a heavy customizer, you'll likely be paying a bit more as ingredient substitutions are not allowed from a pricing standpoint.

Service is beyond excellent here, our main server as well as the other ones are so friendly and so efficient. We came at around 1 and it was still super busy so we had to wait about 15 min for a table but it was a steady crowd the whole we were there. Food was delicious! My son had the make your own bowl (he is the main ramen lover in the family), husband had the original, and i had gyoza, soft boiled eggs, and the spicy cucumber salad. Yes, i am the weirdo that gets everything but ramen at a ramen place. But let me tell you for those who are in the same boat as me, these other things were so good too!!! We also shared the bulgogi fries with kimchi (SO good and HUGE portion!!!). There is so much on the menu here and there is definitely something for everyone (even someone who doesnt really eat ramen!). Will def be coming here again when we are in the area!!! Give this place a try!!!
